Timeline
- Planning for the OWEP started in mid-2004. Development of licensing, interconnection, and marketing are expected to extend through mid- 2008
- Pre-construction development work is expected to be completed during 2008
- Construction and commercial online date proposed for year end 2009 (stage I of 36 MW) and 2011 (stage II of 39 MW)
Legal Format of Invesments
- Investors in OWEP will receive shares in USA Nica Windpower, Inc.; or shares in a new LLC to be created which will hold all rights to the project
- USA Nica Windpower is seeking additional funds from qualified investors to finish pre-construction development work on the project
- USA Nica Windpower anticipates partnering the project with an experienced utility-scale wind project owner-operator with managerial, technical, and financing capability.
